Amazon Error Code 8572 can be caused by several different reasons. Namely Brand name, Manufacturer Name or Product name.
Product name
The product name needs to be unique and not one that is already listed in the Amazon Database. For exmaple if you were selling a water bottle, you couldn’t just list the product name as Water Bottle. You would have to differentiate from any other listed product on amazon. So you could for example enter the product name “Pink water bottle with yellow floral design”. This not only differentiates your product, but would also expand search terms that would show your product.
Brand Name
Brand name is the most common reason for error code 8572. The easiest option for the Brand name is to enter it as generic, by ticking the box that says “This product does not have a Brand”.
Manufacturer name
First try entering your Amazon seller name as the Manufacturer. If that doesn’t work try entering the brand as TBA or T.B.A. However what is probably best, is to simply reduce your seller name. For example if your seller name is Toms Sporting Goods, enter the brand name as TSG or TSG1. On occasion, you may have to play around with this to get it to work. For example TSG may not work, but T.S.G will. AR1 appears to be working well at present but this may change. Its just a case of trial and error. If that doesn’t work, simply put it as Generic.
